Admission Procedure
Admission to all classes will be decided on the basis of counselling and screening sessions whereas for Hr. Sec. classes it is based on the Board Examination scores cum interview.
Application forms for admission to the schools can be had from the School Office. Completed application forms should be sent to the School Office within a stipulated date. In case an application is rejected for admission in a particular year, a fresh application will have to be made for admission in the following year.
The Board of Governors reserves the right to admit any child at any time. They also have the right to expel any child on the recommendation of the Principal.
The Vikasa School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, upto Class X (ICSE) and is recognised by the Directorate of School Education, Tamil Nadu, at the Plus Two level. English is the medium of instruction. Along with English, Tamil and Hindi can be taken either as second or third language. French is also offered at Plus Two level as a language.
The minimum age of entry to Lower Kindergarten is three years as on 1st June of the year of admission. Age for admission to the other classes will progressively correspond to the age of admission to Lower Kindergarten. No child should have completed 4 years at the time of admission to the Lower Kindergarten class.
Appropriate rate of fee will be fixed by the Board of Governors. Rate of fee once fixed will not be revised without giving 2 months prior notice in writing to the parents. All parents will be advised of the current rate of fee at the commencement of each academic year. 'T' shirts, Text Books & Note Books will have to be paid for and supplied by the school.
A refundable interest free caution deposit of Rs. 5,000/- should be paid at the time of admission. When the child leaves school, the caution deposit will be reimbursed within the stipulated time as advised by the Board. The current fee structure per term is as follows and should be paid at the beginning of each term. No reduction in fee will be granted on account of absence from school.
Parents wishing to withdraw their children from school permanently should give three months prior notice in writing to the Principal or one term fee in lieu of notice. A child removed permanently from school will not be eligible for re-admission. However, under special circumstances, the Board may agree to the re-admission of the child with a fresh payment of requisite fee on the recommendation.
